The Kiwanis Village Society is a non-profit housing Society, which operates
two Villages of affordable housing for independent living, low-income
Seniors. Kiwanis Village in Victoria is located on an 8 acre site between
Cook Street and Cedar Hill Road. On this site, there are 93 cottage-style
units and a 50 unit, three story, apartment building containing one bedroom
units. Rental units range in size from 300 square feet for a bachelor
cottage to 740 square feet for a large apartment.
Windward Village is a six acre site located on McDonald Park Road in Sidney,
with 40 cottages ranging in size from 480 to 750 square feet.

Rent generally includes water, parking and Tyre III Shaw cable. Residents
pay for their own hydro (electric heat) and telephone. All applicants
must be over 55 years of age. Income restrictions apply, to make housing
available for those seniors on restricted income. Most applicants are
eligible for the BC government’s SAFER program.
Kiwanis Village is conveniently located on two bus routes. The Viv Shoemaker
Activity Centre in the Village offers a wide range of social activities
for residents.
