The Kiwanis Club of Victoria has been providing services to children and families in Greater Victoria since 1920.  The Victoria Kiwanis Foundation has been a registered charitable foundation since 1969.

Affordable Housing

Kiwanis Village
The Kiwanis Village Society is a non-profit housing Society, which operates two Villages of affordable housing for independent living, low-income Seniors.

The Vic West Housing Society operates K-West, a 39-unit complex that includes 21 two or three bedroom family townhouse units and 18 one bedroom apartment units for seniors.

Youth Leadership Programs

UVic Circle K
CKI (Circle K International) is a student-led organization sponsored by Kiwanis
International; it is for students at the college/university level. 
The University of Victoria Circle K Club is a group of students dedicated to service on campus and in the community.  It is a non-profit organization sponsored by Kiwanis, and any student or member of the community is welcome to join. The club is all about service, friends, and fun!

Claremont Key Club
Key Club International is a student-led organization sponsored by Kiwanis International; it is for students at the high school level. 
While the Claremont Key Club is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Sidney and Peninsula, the Kiwanis Club of Victoria occasionally provides financial assistance to support youth leadership activities.

Builders Club International is a student organization sponsored by Kiwanis International; it is for students at the middle school or junior high level.
The Kiwanis Club of Victoria co-sponsors with UVic Circle K a Builders Club at Central Middle School.

Youth Services

Kiwanis Emergency Youth Shelter
The Kiwanis Emergency Youth Shelter, a 10 bed facility, providing services to youth between the ages of 13 and 18 who have no safe place to stay. KEYS responds to a wide range of crisis, including parent/teen conflict, abuse issues and youth homelessness etc. The Shelter is run by the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society.

School Safety Patrol
For more than 50 years, the Kiwanis Club of Victoria has been providing equipment for student crossing guards for busy streets near schools in Victoria schools.  In fact, some Kiwanis members volunteered as crossing guards when they were in elementary school!  This program continues to protect children while providing young students with volunteer experience.

Young Children: Priority One

Kiwanis House
Kiwanis House provides young women and their children a "hand-up" towards independence through safe, attractive, affordable housing, where the mothers would have an opportunity to gain life and employment skills and foster a sense of self-worth, self-confidence and self-reliance.  Kiwanis has 8 self-contained suites for single parent families and is operated by the YMCA.

Royal Victoria Marathon
For many years now, the Kiwanis Club of Victoria has provided dozens of volunteers to staff a water station at the Royal Victoria Marathon (usually near Dallas and Central).
